Your shul mounts the TV. We ship you the microcomputer with a step-by-step guide: one HDMI cable, one power cable, then a few minutes on your phone. No IT staff needed — and we stay with you by phone or WhatsApp until the screen is live.

FAQ

Common questions about free synagogue signage

Do we need IT staff at our synagogue to install it?
No. Your shul mounts the TV, and we ship the micro computer already configured for your community. The physical setup is two cables — HDMI to the TV and power to the wall — and the Wi-Fi is configured from any phone in a few minutes, following the step-by-step guide in the box. We stay with you on the phone or WhatsApp while you do it, and we activate the screen from our side.
How does the screen know our exact zmanim?
Halachic times are calculated from your shul’s precise geographic coordinates, in your own time zone, and refreshed continuously. Shacharis, Mincha, Maariv and candle lighting are right for your building — not an approximation for your city. Each shul also decides which times it wants displayed.
How much is shipping, and when do we know the amount?
We quote it from your delivery address before anything is ordered, so you see the exact figure before you commit to anything. The $250 setup fee covers the micro computer and its configuration; shipping is the only other charge, and there is nothing monthly after that.
What internet speed do we need?
Very little. The system’s requirements are minimal — any existing internet connection in your shul is enough. If the building already has Wi-Fi that people use, it will run DigitalShul without any change.
Is this a permanent commitment, or can we cancel?
There is no minimum term and no permanence clause. You can stop the service at any time. If you do, the shul no longer needs the equipment, and we’d simply ask you to return it so we can assign it to another synagogue on the waiting list.
Do you install outside the United States?
Yes. We started in South Florida, and we have since expanded worldwide — any synagogue, of any size, anywhere in the world. Zmanim are calculated for your coordinates and your time zone wherever you are.
What happens if the equipment fails?
We replace it. The only thing we charge is shipping — sending the faulty unit back and getting the new one to you. There is no charge for the replacement equipment itself.
Can we control which categories of ads appear?
We’re building exactly that. Category controls for each synagogue are in development, so your community will be able to exclude categories it would rather not display. Today, all advertising already comes from within the Jewish community and from businesses relevant to your geographic area.
